Congratulations Scholarship Recipients! This week: Alexis Munter
With fall semester starting, we would like to recognize the hardworking students who received scholarships from our Lodge! Our scholarship program began in 1992. Since then, 76 students from Eveleth have been awarded $36,000.00 in total to date. These scholarships are made possible from the money we raise each year from the concession stand. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered their time to work the stand!
Each week we will feature one of our seven 2016 scholarship winners. This week we would like to recognize Alexis Munter!
Alexis Munter is the daughter of Julie Leecy of Virginia. While in high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society where she served as president. She was also in the Shield Corps as well as on the Student Council serving as Committee Head. She was a 4 year member of the high school cheer squad, having served as head captain, and she spent 6 years on a competitive dance team where she also served as captain. Alexis plans on attending Bethel University to pursue a career in Business Marketing and she will possibly double minor in leadership studies and psychology. Alexis will graduate soon with an A.A. degree from Mesabi Range College, and she plans on attending graduate school after Bethel University. Congratulations Alexis!
