Congratulations Scholarship Recipients! This week: Angela Larson
With fall semester under way, we would like to recognize the hardworking students who received scholarships from our Lodge! Our scholarship program began in 1992. Since then, 76 students from Eveleth have been awarded $36,000.00 in total to date. These scholarships are made possible from the money we raise each year from the concession stand. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered their time to work the stand!
Each week we will feature one of our seven 2016 scholarship winners. This week we would like to recognize Angela Larson!
Angela Larson is the daughter of Steve and Maria Larson of Virginia. While in high school she was taking classes at Mesabi Range College, was a member of the Iron Range Youth in Action, and helped with Halloween parties for the Roosevelt Elementary School. She is a youth leader for 7th and 8th graders at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She played varsity hockey and tennis and was a manger for the Virginia Track and Field Team. Angela will receive her A.A. Degree in the spring of 2017 from Mesabi Range College and then transfer to the University of Colorado in Boulder to pursue a degree in soil science and enjoy her passion to be outdoors. Congratulations Angela!
