PORCH Pasty Dinner & Masons' Donation
It's time for the PORCH pasty dinner! Eveleth Lodge members prepared 100 pasties at their facility and later served them at a Quad City free dinner event called PORCH. The PORCH dinner is served every Wednesday night at the Peace United Methodist Church in Virginia, All are welcome! Below are pictures from the evening:
Above: Lodge members, most of them wearing their masonic hats, serving up a hot meal for the guests attending.
Above: Worshipful Master Adam Roen addresses the crowd to announce the Eveleth Lodge donation of $1,000.00 and the matching funds grant from Minnesota Masonic Charities for $1,000.00. Adam noted that the donation is made with hopes that it will not only sustain, but also help flourish the PORCH program. The crowd erupted into applause upon presentation.
The young girl in the background in the kitchen is Celia Roen, daughter of WB Drew Roen. She greeted each diner at their tables and delivered dessert to them. Also, the gentleman in the black sweater behind Celia is Chris. He is our Lodges’ newest petitioner.
Above: WM Adam presents the checks to Rachel Bodas, PORCH coordinator, after the dinner.
Special thanks to Sec Kerry for being our photographer, baker, server, and dishwasher for the evening!
