Celebrating Eveleth Lodge 239 Annual Past Masters Night 2024

The Annual Past Masters, Widows, and Scholarship Awards dinner for Eveleth Masonic Lodge 239 was held on June 4, 2024, at the Eveleth Auditorium. Phyllis Rayton provided a 3-meat buffet meal.

How do you get five Grand Masters together at one time? A special event and a delicious meal of course!

We were honored to have our newly installed Grand Master Foster Solem at our event. We were also graced with four other Past Grand Masters in attendance, those being Eveleth Lodge members Terry Tilton, James Christensen, and Rolf Winstrand, along with most immediate PGM Dayton Berg.

First, we were honored to have several Masonic Widows attending. We showed our appreciation to them with a special program given by WB Adam Roen and flowers given to each by WM Keith Harvey.

There was a good number of members in attendance to receive their service awards, including special awards for 25-year members (WM Keith Harvey and District 4 Rep. WB Dwight Day), for our 50-year members (John Dahl and Dan Issacson), and our 55-year member (D. Marvin Hill).

The Mason of the Year Award was given to the very deserving Brother Kevin Peterson for all the countless hours of repairing, cleaning, and making sure all is ready for pasty making!

Five of the six scholarship award winners and their families were present. Eveleth Lodge gave six scholarships for $1,000 each. Half of this presentation came from our MN Masonic Charities. Recipients present from Rock Ridge High School included Will Warren, Alyssa Grahek, Isabella Smith, Ashley Dahl, and Ever Bernthal. Hudson Pietrini was unable to attend.

The eighty people attending were graced with the newly installed Grand Master Foster Solem as our special speaker for the evening. It was a special night for all!
